Space Age Robotic Suits Helping Cerebral Palsy Kids walk

Reported profits of Lokomat therapy are: 1) the ability to maintain a constant rate of motion , allowing the therapeutic to hold for long periods of time 2) to improve circulation, strengthen muscles and improve muscle tone 3 year ) strengthening the bones that are otherwise at risk of osteoporosis from disuse .

The Lokomat patented Hocoma , a Swiss company , received FDA approval in 2002 and therefore is covered by some insurance programs. Upon CBS history , there were 6 Lokomats in the United States.

The second story revolves around 18 years old, Austin Hammer, a young man who suffers from spastic diplegia , which has seen great improvements in the use of a tailored specialized compression was initially designed for use by the Soviet space program preserve and maintain healthy muscle tone during extended stays in zero gravity of space stations . The lawsuit, known as the Euro -Ped tailored therapy has a vest , shorts, knee replacement , shoes and a helmet , all connected , bungee cords - like rubber . The computer-controlled voltage mimics the natural lengthening and shortening of healthy human muscles and natural movement. Like the Lokomat , an hour or two , daily sessions of repetitive, controlled walking machine is sufficient to train the muscles and motor skills . Continued treatment in the Euro National Center - Peds Intensive Pediatric Physical Therapy in Pontiac , MI Austin has the ability to walk short distances without help, something he could not do before.

Robotic Ship Hull Inspections..

Now, what if we could take the light of the ship inspection dive or a video camera and track where the diver pointing device whiles the surface components in the hull inspected? What if we did the same for airline pilots , military pilots and aircraft mechanics ?

There is an interesting book that can be read "Fundamentals of Inspection” which is put out by the FAA , specifically Chapter 8 , which has a list of things that must be inspected before relighting , and things that need inspection routine to ensure safe aircraft. Maybe we need to train robotic systems for unmanned ground this in the flight line in the docking bays or Unmanned Aircraft hangars before the operation?

Can we develop algorithms and artificial intelligence to mimic and learn human habits and eye-tracking when it comes to inspection divers helmets topography of ships or pilots doing preflight inspections? I think so. At this time , divers and pilots do not want to be replaced by stupid robotic systems , but these systems are not so stupid once trained to follow human formation in this case.

After all , humans are too stupid to learn to do. So , maybe it's time to consider this new strategy to get those robots on board with the way we do things, and then let them do all these monotonous things and / or dangerous for us - is not that why we have developed these tools in the first place? Please consider all this and think on it .

Auto Mechanics in the Robotic System

Research on self-driving technology has been secretly developing for years and although all the major automakers are in stock, the most visible so far has been Google . The search giant spent the legal obstacles to road use after hundreds of thousands of hours of testing through the cities and traffic, the use of multiple sensors, artificial intelligence software, videos and information from Google Street View. A British team at the University of Oxford has developed a driverless car that absorbs information during campaigns manuals, then asks to take the wheel of an iPad in the dash when it recognizes its surroundings. Similar to the control technology standard speed, drivers can regain control by lightly tapping the brakes.

The recent Consumer Electronics Show featured a stunning Audi car "auto - pilot " navigate parking. These vehicles use Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR ) technology to create a virtual map of the area surrounding the car with a rapidly rotating laser beam . Engineers have said they are probably a decade away from production in order to miniaturize the trunk of electronics and other sensors to maintain a sense of luxury brand of elegance. There is also a long way to go to convince governments and the public that these cars are safe.

Unresolved driver

Safety is actually one of the characteristics of the main selling self-driving vehicle. Proponents argue that robot cars will drastically reduce road deaths by using its sensors to reliably detect and avoid obstacles. Many questions remain unanswered. With machine control, responsibility could pass driver for the manufacturer and there are persistent concerns about cyber security.
