Disadvantages of the open Source Software


The typical open source project contains contributions from many people. It is almost impossible to audit the entire code base for violations of previous license conditions. This creates many opportunities for contributors to introduce infringing code. Thus this risk in the development process is largely borne by licensees. Contributors do not vouch for the integrity of the code they contribute to the project, in fact, the opposite is true-the standard open-source license is designed to be very protective of the contributor.
